Wanna join the Healers for Liberation Network but have questions...

We would love to answer them

Read Q and A below

Q. Soooo how does the Healers For Liberation Network work?

A. Members of the H4LN provide free/probono services to black activists within the Movement For Black Lives.

When we receive a referral for a specific therapeutic/healing service, we reach out to our network and ask who is currently accepting new clients. Once we confirm that you accept new clients, we will pair you with one of the black organizers/activists in our network

Q. How is the H4LN different than the Directory?

A. H4LN or Healers For Liberation Network is a network of healers who agree to provide free/pro bono services to black activists/organizers in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. This network is a healing community that has regular meet and greets, daily connections through social media, share job opportunities and resources, sometimes offer discounts/ promotions to workshops, classes, events and also have friendships outside of this work.

The Directory is for all POC healers. You do not need to be a member to join the directory. You can simply be a POC organizer/activist looking for a socially conscious, activism centered healing services. Most important to remember is that folks listed on the directory also have different agreements than H4LN which means they are not offering free/pro bono services. There may also be H4LN members who are not listed on the directory due to their personal preference but they still offer time and service to our network.

Q. Well I can only provide 2-3 sessions for free/pro bono per person, is that okay?

A. Sure!

The goal is to provide immediate service to folks who are in need. Each person within our network will be asked to share their preference for what they offer and will also be able to set agreements for how many sessions they can offer for free. Our fundraising team is currently working to provide us with more financial support.

This means that if your client has seen you for the amount of granted free sessions offered but you would still like to offer more, it is our mission to use financial support from donations/grants to fund the remaining sessions.

We're not financially supported enough to pay for every session but please be patient...we have manifestations reaping for 2020

Q. My client and I are unable to meet / we are not able to create a therapeutic relationship. Should I call it off?

A. Contact us and tell us what's going on.

We are also clinicians who work in the field so we understand that not every healer and individual are a good fit, however we don't want to turn anybody away, instead we prefer to offer another healer or an alternative option.

The goal is to build a more healing based community through empathy, our compassionate relationships with one another and our offerings of healing work. No one should be turned away without options for ways to heal.
